East Grinstead News

Volunteers Required
The East Grinstead branch of Keeping Abreast is based at the Queen Victoria Hospital and was set up to support women who have been referred there for surgery following breast cancer.

We run regular ‘Show & Tell’ evenings where ex patients (models) who have already had breast reconstruction, show women contemplating surgery their results ’in the flesh’ and answer any questions they may have about their operations. These informal evenings have proved to be very successful and have helped many women on their journey through their breast reconstruction.

In order to continue this vital support we are now in urgent need of more volunteers to help organise or model at these events. If you live within traveling distance of East Grinstead and can spare a couple of hours of your time every other month we would love to hear from you. It is not essential to attend every meeting; and any help you could offer would be gratefully received.

All meetings will be held in the Staff Development Centre at the Queen Victoria Hospital, Holtye Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 3DZ from 7pm until 9pm
