KA join the Race for Life

18th June 2012
Keeping Abreast have recently been invited to join the Race for Life family, by attending a number of races around the country to help raise awareness of our charity and breast reconstruction.

The Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s flagship event, with over 240 events taking place across the UK. Since the first race in 1994, the money raised from these wonderful races has allowed Cancer Research UK to make a number of developments that have led to an overall drop of around 16 per cent in the death rate from all cancers since Race for Life began.

We have been lucky enough to be present at races in Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Gloucester and Ipswich with are groups still to attend races in Cheltenham and Kings Lynn. Victoria White, National Fundraising and Development Manager said "We feel honoured to have been invited to be part of the Race for Life and it has been amazing for us to get the Keeping Abreast name out to some many people. We would just like to thank the organisers from Race for life but especially Gemma Turpin and Kelly Rumble for all their help"
