Coronavirus  (COVID-19)

Due to Government guidelines on Coronavirus (COVID-19), all Keeping Abreast Support Groups and events have now been cancelled until the end of April.  Please continue to check this website and our Facebook page, Keeping Abreast – HQ, for further updates.  Should you wish to speak to someone at Keeping Abreast in the meantime, please contact us on 01603 819113 or by email at: [email protected] and we – or one of our dedicated volunteers – will get back to you (we are continuing to work from home and will monitor this phone number and email address daily).

There is also a great deal of information on this website, so please take a look through the pages here.  For those planning to attend the Models’ Open Night at OPEN in Norwich on Tuesday 24th March for this year’s Keeping Abreast ‘More Than Just Fashion’ Shows, please note that the Open Night has now been cancelled.  However, the Fashion Shows themselves, on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th October, have NOT been cancelled – at the moment, these are still scheduled to go ahead as planned.

If you have organised an event for the charity which has now been postponed or cancelled and would like to discuss this further, please get in touch via telephone or email (please leave a message and we will get back to you).We would like to wish all our friends, colleagues, volunteers and supporters the very best through these difficult times and thank you for your continued support of Keeping Abreast.

Thank you.

(updated 17/03/2020)

We are delighted to be able to share with you our amazing new Keeping Abreast video; we hope that you will agree that it really does capture the essence of what we do.

Thank so much to our friends at Production Bureau for supporting this project.

Breast reconstruction is surgery to recreate the shape of a natural breast after mastectomy.

Keeping Abreast offers a network of dedicated support groups across the UK.

What Keeping Abreast do…

“A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

“Margaret Mead”

We recognise there is a great need for women, both newly diagnosed with breast cancer facing the possibility of mastectomy, and also women further down the line who are also considering reconstructive surgery, to be able to meet and talk to other women who have been through similar experiences.
