Want to help?
As a new group we are on the look out for a number of volunteers to join us to help run the group so we can offer support to more women considering and undergoing breast cancer. Ideally we are looking for some previous reconstruction patients who would be willing to talk to others about your journey, and also some individuals to help with the administrative side of things too. If you might be interested please contact either Megan, Debbie or the Keeping Abreast Head Office on the numbers below.

We are so grateful for everyone that has been fundraising for us over the past years, and we are delighted to share with you some images of the items that we have been purchasing to benefit our own reconstruction patients. Below are our dedicated information packs that are given to patients on their first consultation, a pamper pack for those who are currently in hospital for surgery, then finally a post-operative bra that patients need to wear after surgery.
Nick of Time:
As well as supporting women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and looking to have an immediate or delayed reconstruction, Keeping Abreast also support those women looking to have elective reconstruction surgery due the discovery of a breast cancer gene. This support is provided by our sister group ‘Nick of Time’. It is likely that there will be elective surgery patients at your local group but if you would like specific information or further details please contact Nick of Time.
