Fundraising Officer

(Job Share)

Keeping Abreast – Fundraising Officer

Job Share, 15 hours per week (full role, 30 hours per week total)

Wednesday – Friday (5 hours per day) £6,801.60 (£16,777.28 pro rata)

Are you enthusiastic about the world of fundraising? Do you like working in a challenging and rewarding environment? Are you interested in working as part of a small but dynamic Breast Cancer Reconstruction Charity team in Norwich?

Keeping Abreast was established in September 2007 by two patients and a Breast Reconstruction nurse specialist. They recognised a great need for women, both newly diagnosed with breast cancer and facing the possibility of mastectomy, and also women further down the line who are considering reconstructive surgery, to be able to meet and talk to other women who have been through similar experiences. To allow women to make an informed choice about whether or not to proceed with breast reconstruction.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the charity as Fundraising Officer as part of a job share 15 hours per week (job total 30 hours per week) over three days, (Wednesday -Friday). Reporting to the Development Manager Officer, this is an excellent opportunity to work for a small yet national charity in a fundraising function. As part of the Job Share this role will be responsible to raise funds in line with agreed targets from various sources and will be the first point of call for all fundraising enquiries or donations from our supporters, ensuring they are dealt with professionally and efficiently.  You will also be providing support to our local groups in their fundraising activities.

You will preferably have experience of charity fundraising and have excellent organisational and administrative skills, including managing tasks and projects, attending events, good attention to detail and accuracy. With a confident and professional manner, they will also have excellent communication skills, financial acumen and good IT literacy.

To apply, please send a CV together with covering letter to Kerry Kemp via kerrykemp[email protected]

Closing date: Noon on Friday 21st February 2020
Interview dates: Monday 2nd March 2020 (Little Melton, Norwich)
