Outreach Groups

In addition to the Norwich Support groups there are a number of Outreach groups in and around the area. Each outreach group varies in structure but is normally a informal environment to share information and experiences over a cup of tea.

Cromer Outreach news – Liz Winter, with the help of one of Keeping Abreast’s three founders, Beverley Birritteri, started Cromer Outreach meetings ten years ago when she recognised that ladies from the North Norfolk area weren’t keen on travelling to Norwich for evening support group meetings. However, we are sorry to say that these regular Cromer Outreach meetings no longer take place.

Please get in touch if you are looking for support in this area, as we are looking at organising get-togethers at a café in North Walsham for regular “returners” and for anyone who wishes to learn more about breast reconstruction. Details will follow soon, but in the meantime, please contact us via the Keeping Abreast website, by email at: [email protected] or by calling 01603 819113.

Nick of Time:

As well as supporting women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and looking to have an immediate or delayed reconstruction, Keeping Abreast also support those women looking to have elective reconstruction surgery due the discovery of a breast cancer gene.  This support is provided by our sister group ‘Nick of Time’.  It is likely that there will be elective surgery patients at your local group but if you would like specific information or further details please contact Nick of Time or join their Facebook page ‘Keeping Abreast – Nick of Time’
