Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month &
Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day
Think Pink This October, with Pink OctoBRA
Pink OctoBRA is a chance for you to plan your own pink fun, raising money to help Keeping Abreast support women facing breast cancer reconstruction through our network of volunteers and support groups.
Keeping Abreast is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month and Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day (BRA Day) on Wednesday 16th October, with our Pink Octobra fundraiser. We would love for you to get involved and plan something fun; the options are endless… why not host a pink afternoon tea or pink cocktail night, or have a girls’ night in with pink pamper treats? You could always arrange a “wear it pink” day at work, or die your hair (or beard for the men) pink for the month! Or take on a sporting challenge, a run, a walk or a sky dive wearing, yes, you’ve guessed it… pink!
To get your pink fundraising pack, email us on [email protected], or click here, and we will give you everything you need to plan your very own Pink OctoBRA fundraiser.
Awareness (BRA) Day
16th October 2019
Breast Cancer Awareness month and BRA Day
October sees breast cancer charities pulling together to raise awareness of breast cancer and the importance of regular checking and screenings. It is an opportunity to get people involved with fundraising to help raise funds that enable the charities to provide the vital services they do.
As well as supporting this, on the 16th October Keeping Abreast will also be proud to support International Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day which was initially developed in Canada and the USA. BRA Day is an initiative that promotes education, awareness and access for women considering post mastectomy breast reconstruction, all things that we as a charity are also keen to promote.
So get involved in Pink Octobra this year, and help us make a difference. Click through for fundraising pack
